The apprentice who is subject of this tale made his way from a previous apprenticeship in the age old craft of farriery. The skills learned in apprenticeship last a lifetime if not generations when passed on. With that comes the appreciation of other peoples' crafts and professions.
Unfortunately in farriery or horse shoeing, the body can be rent asunder long before the mind. This is due to the immediate dangers and long term physical exertion required to carry out these arduous tasks day in day out under the belly of heaving horses.
After suffering one too many knocks to the body but with mind in tact, the Master of an old craft set about seeking an apprenticeship and a Master in a new profession.
The only obvious choice was to make use of the relatively new profession of Internet Marketing. However, much like his previous apprenticeship, a new one that was worth anything was difficult to come by.
After traveling many moons, encountering gaily clad charlatans in their online bazaars and trawling the depths of many websites, a new dawn appeared. In a foreign land a kindred spirit was encountered from which blossomed a most fruitful relationship for both apprentice and Master.
Two years or more had passed between the old life and the new. Spirits were low and the funds were depleted. However, previous experience had tempered the steel of the old farrier and content in the knowledge that there was no race to be won only a goal to be achieved, he set out in confidence to do just that.
The ending to this tale is a happy one. The apprenticeship in Internet Marketing having been served, success having been achieved the only thing left to do was to announce to the world that with grit and determination you can do it too. |
